Brantford, ON | June 14, 2019 – A company’s success is tightly linked to the communities in which it operates and helps to grow. That’s why Cowan Insurance Group is always looking for ways to give back—it’s ingrained in our culture. So, when we learned that the Brantford Aquatic Club (BAC) needed some new dryland equipment, we saw an opportunity to step in and help.
As the equipment sponsor for the 2019-2020 season, Cowan has donated $2,500 to allow the club to replace their workout and athletic equipment. The equipment list includes TRX bands, TheraBand stability ball, Rubber Hex dumbbells (10, 15, 20 and 25 pounds), TRX slam balls, Soozier gym mats (4×10’) and resistance tubing.
The club will install a new sign on the equipment room door, which reads BAC Equipment Room, sponsored by Cowan Insurance Group and the club’s athletes will sport the Cowan logo on their summer championship t-shirts this summer.
“The Brantford Aquatic Club has an excellent reputation locally and provincially, and the Wayne Gretzky Sports Complex is one of the best aquatic facilities in the country,” says Bob Herron, Branch Manager of Cowan’s Brantford office. “We’re pleased to offer our support to a local business that holds numerous competitions and attracts thousands of visitors to the city of Brantford each year.”
The BAC, located inside the Wayne Gretzky Sports Complex, has formed a special relationship with the City of Brantford over the past 30 years. The BAC’s daily mission—inspiring a lifelong love of aquatics, promoting diversity, fun and leadership, enhancing self-confidence, team spirit and sportsmanship, and enabling personal excellence for all swimmers—not only contributes to their athlete’s future development but the development of the community.
